Dubai Quality AwarDubai Economic Departmentd (DQA)

Established in 1994 to provide Dubai-based organisations with a model for business excellence, the Dubai Quality Award is inspired by the vision of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The coveted benchmark for quality and business excellence in the Emirate, the DQA is modelled on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and is open to all companies operating in UAE.  The DQA represents one of the most successful examples of public private sector partnerships, as assessors of the award are senior executives and managers chosen from amongst the private and government sector and trained extensively by the DED. In turn, the assessors apply the concepts of excellence at their workplace to benefit the organisations where they work.  All companies operating in the UAE are welcome to apply for the award.

Dubai Service Excellence Scheme (DSES)

The Dubai Service Excellence Scheme was initiated in 2002 by the Dubai Economic Department aimed at promoting excellence in customer service and recognising retail businesses that provide excellent service for their customers. The DSES certification is membership based, while registered members agree to comply with the "code of business ethics" and satisfy the minimum customer service criteria and pledge to set, maintain and enhance higher customer service standards. The scheme membership is available to retail business outlets in 15 different business activities.

Dubai Human Development Award (DHDA)

Dubai Human Development Award was launched in 2002 to recognise and reward the HR initiatives taken by individual business organisations towards achieving Dubai Human Development goal, which does not merely involve providing work opportunities to UAE nationals, but aims to develop their abilities and emphasize their role in the future of this country through intensive training and guidance.  It focuses on private and government organisations operating in Dubai that demonstrate commitment to attracting, employing, training and developing UAE nationals.
